Air Capacitor modification for RF Matching Networks

Problem
Typical capacitor failure, in normal operation, is due to bearing failure as a result of the poor RF current path.

Solution
New High Current version was developed.

• Direct replacement capacitor.
• NO re-qualification required.

Result
NO further failures attributed to bearing failure, since first installing these capacitors in 2003.

Now being implemented as STANDARD, in all Matching Network repairs.
